Sandra Y. Fickert, 79, of Allentown, died April 18, 2023, in Maple Farm Nursing Center, Akron, Lancaster County.

She and her husband, Curtis C. Fickert II, celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in May 2022.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Robert H.A. and June V. (Smith) Laudenslager.

She earned her nursing degree at The Lankenau Hospital School of Nursing, then earned her Master’s degree from East Stroudsburg University before completing her Master’s Equivalency through the Allentown School District.

She was a registered nurse for the Allentown and East Penn school districts before retiring in 2004.

A member of Grace Community Church, New Tripoli, she participated in Bible studies and prayer groups.

She was a Zion Choral member, enjoyed reading, cross stitch, singing and spending time with family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son Curtis III and wife, Debra, of Gilbertsville; daughter Tara Lyn Conley and husband, John, of Chalfont; grandchildren Curtis Chase Fickert, and Caleb, Joshua and Logan Conley; brother Barry and wife, Georgine, of Clinton; sisters Roberta Blasdell and husband, Rick, of York, Jane Emery and husband, Tim, of Slatington, and Mary Ann Brinker and husband, Tim, of Sweden.
