As part of its 150th anniversary celebration, St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1415 Rising Sun Road, Laurys Station, compiled a cookbook which is now available for purchase.
The book, “Feeding Our Sheep Through the Generations,” includes favorite recipes of members and friends.
The cookbook would be a great gift for any occasion, including Mother’s Day, which is almost here.
Call the church office at 610-262-8061 to purchase a copy.
Another project from the anniversary was gathering materials for a time capsule inside a church wall.
The time capsule provides a look at a specific time in history to be shared with people in the future.
When the St. John’s time capsule is opened in 2047, a new generation will learn about life in the church and community in 2022.
