To the Editor:
May 16 is Primary Election Day and South Whitehall Township is fortunate to have a slate of candidates, Diane Kelly, Jacob Roth and Chris Peischl, who are pledged to continue the “citizen first” policies voters overwhelmingly chose in 2019 and 2021.
Those policies: moderate balanced growth, transparent government, fiscal responsibility and citizen safety are common to the platforms of all three candidates.
While all are important, in my mind, moderate balanced growth is one that needs continuing attention to overcome the traffic and infrastructure burdens brought on by massive developments, high density housing and warehousing approved during the before 2019 administrations.
If you don’t agree with me, there is an alternative.
The fourth Republican candidate in the election has openly stated in a published interview (Lehigh Valley News, March 8) that he “feels developers have been treated unfairly in the township.”
If you agree, he may be your candidate.
As for me, my choice is Kelly, Roth and Peischl to provide the government and policies to sustain the progress made in the last four years and keep South Whitehall Township the best place in the Valley to live and raise a family.
