Simple assault

A 28-year-old male, of Allentown, was taken into custody for simple assault after he allegedly hurt another person while in a vehicle parked along Wood Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 4:26 a.m. Feb. 5, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. A witness told authorities about a fight and injuries were visible on the person who was hurt, according to authorities.

DUI

A 38-year-old female, of Emmaus, was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop near the intersection of Jubilee Street and Lehigh Street, Emmaus borough, 2:22 a.m. Feb. 3, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 31-year-old male, of Emmaus, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after a single vehicle crash in the 4600 block of Indian Creek Road, Upper Milford Township, 2:49 a.m. Jan. 24, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 26-year-old female, of Allentown, allegedly was driving under the influence in a two-vehicle crash in the 4600 block of North Hedgerow Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 4:05 a.m. Feb. 5, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 37-year-old male, of Breinigsville, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after a single vehicle crash near the intersection of U.S. Route 222 and North Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 3:22 a.m. Feb. 5, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Drug possession

A 20-year-old female, of Allentown, was arrested for allegedly having a small amount of a controlled substance after a two-vehicle accident in the 600 block of North Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 6:29 p.m. Jan. 28, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Retail theft

Two people allegedly worked together to remove $1,740 in merchandise from a retailer in the 800 block of North Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, Feb. 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The suspects were seen in video surveillance footage allegedly taking products from shelves and putting the items in bags, according to authorities.

A female suspect allegedly removed approximately $3,371.68 in merchandise, including over-the-counter allergy and heartburn medications and a gift bag, from CVS pharmacy, U.S. Route 100, Lower Macungie Township, 5:08 p.m. Feb. 5, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Items taken included Rogaine, valued at $504.48, Nicorette, valued at $657.48, Allegra, valued at $680.82, Zyrtec, valued at $1,049.21, Nexium, Prevacid, Prilosec and Zegerid heartburn medications with a total value of $459.69 and a $20 Hallmark gift bag.

Someone under scanned merchandise totaling approximately $175 on three different occasions at a retail location in the 3400 block of Grandview Drive, Lower Macungie Township, between Nov. 20, 2022 and Jan. 22, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Theft by deception

A resident of Victoria Lane, Lower Milford Township, learned a checking account was opened in his name, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Feb. 2 and the account is now closed.

A resident of Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, lost $350 when he paid for NFL football tickets through a social media messaging site, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The ticket seller deleted the social media account soon after the transaction, according to authorities. The incident was reported Jan. 23.

A resident of North Pewter Drive, Lower Macungie Township, lost $600 when he bought two tickets for a sporting event from another person met through social media, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported 5:33 p.m. Feb. 1. The seller stopped responding to the Lower Macungie Township resident shortly after the payment was transferred, according to authorities.

A resident of Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, learned a life insurance check valued at $17,000 was cashed but not in the original owner’s name Jan. 24, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The check was issued Nov. 15, 2022 and was reported missing Nov. 30, 2022.

A cellphone was fraudulently purchased using the Apple account of a resident of Jaime Circle, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Jan. 26.

Someone gained access to the bank account information of a resident of Lisa Lane, Lower Macungie Township and allegedly withdrew $162,600, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Jan. 17.

Scam

Someone persuaded a resident of Pine Grove Circle, Lower Macungie Township, to provide $400 in eBay gift cards as payment for YouTube TV, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Jan. 30.

Attempted fraud

Someone attempted to cash a fraudulent check for $1,900 drawn against a business account for Not Just Bagels, 5585 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Feb. 2.

Theft from vehicle

A catalytic converter, valued at $1,000, was removed from a vehicle parked at a location near North Hedgerow Drive, Lower Macungie Township, between 9 p.m. Feb. 7 and 7 a.m. Feb. 8, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Five spare tires with a total value of $1,000 were removed from trailers parked at a location on Congdon Hill Drive, Lower Macungie Township, between 3 p.m. Jan. 23 and 3 p.m. Feb. 6, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A catalytic converter was removed from a vehicle parked at a location along Springhaven Place, Lower Macungie Township, between 11 p.m. Dec. 28 and 4:18 p.m. Dec. 29, 2022, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Criminal mischief

A 34-year-old male, of Allentown, allegedly drove his vehicle in a yard at a location on Krocks Court, Lower Macungie Township, Jan. 22, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The male allegedly admitted to driving the car in the yard and was charged with criminal mischief for creating ruts in the grass, according to authorities. Damage was estimated at $1,000.

Three people allegedly broke off locks from trailers, knocked over a security camera and removed equipment from a location in the 5800 block of Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported 7:47 a.m. Jan. 11. Two locks, each valued at $50 and a security camera, valued at $70, were damaged and a chipping gun, valued at $180, was stolen, according to authorities.

A 51-year-old male, of Pottstown, allegedly got his vehicle stuck in the mud at a location along Acorn Drive, Upper Milford Township, 4:27 a.m. Jan. 21, resulting in $200 damage to landscaping, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The male allegedly was driving in violation of his license being suspended.

Scattering rubbish

A resident of Dillingersville Road, Lower Milford Township, found a blue couch on his property, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Feb. 2.

Theft of motor vehicle

A resident of Mashie Drive, Lower Macungie Township, discovered his black Ford F250 pickup truck was missing from outside his home around 9 p.m. Jan. 13, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Harassment

An Allentown man was struck in the face by another person in a dispute at a location along Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Jan. 9.

An employee at a company in the 7000 block of Alburtis Road, Lower Macungie Township, allegedly struck a cafeteria worker in the stomach Feb. 1, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The person who was struck did not know the name of the employee who allegedly struck him. He gave state police a physical description, according to authorities.

A Northampton woman was charged with harassment after she allegedly struck another person in the face, causing the person’s nose to bleed, during an argument at a location on Batman Drive, Upper Milford Township, 4 a.m. Feb. 7, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
