Sandra Y. Fickert, 79, of Allentown, died April 18, 2023, in Maple Farm Nursing Center, Akron. She was the wife of Curtis C. Fickert II. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in May 2022. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Robert H. A. and June V. (Smith) Laudenslager.
She earned a nursing degree at The Lankenau Hospital School of Nursing. She then earned a master’s degree from East Stroudsburg University before completing her master’s equivalency through the Allentown School District.
She was a registered nurse for the Allentown and East Penn school districts before retiring in 2004.
She was a member of Grace Community Church, New Tripoli and participated in Bible studies and prayer groups.
She was a Zion Choral member, enjoyed reading, cross-stitch, singing and spending time with family.
She is survived by her husband; son, Curtis III and his wife, Debra, of Gilbertsville; daughter, Tara Lyn and her husband, John Conley, of Chalfont; grandchildren, Curtis Chase, Caleb, Joshua and Logan Conley; brother, Barry and his wife, Georgine, of Clinton; sisters, Roberta and her husband, Rick Blasdell, of York; Jane and her husband, Tim Emery, of Slatington; Mary Ann and her husband, Tim Brinker, of Sweden.

Services will be held 1:30 p.m. April 26 at the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown. Call 12:30 p.m. until time of the service.
