Paul J. Marth III, 75, of Allen Township, died April 14, 2023, at home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Sandra (Newhard) Marth for 33 years.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of Doris L. (Graham) and the late Paul J. Marth Jr.

He was a graduate of Northampton High School.

He honorably served our country in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War, earning a purple heart for wounds received.

He was employed as a concrete finisher for various companies throughout his career.

He was a member of Zion Stone United Church of Christ, Northampton, where he served as sexton for many years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four stepchildren, Wendi Kleppinger and husband Gerald Pandelios, Melissa Richetta and husband Bruce, Richard Gregory and wife Angela and Todd Gregory and wife Stephanie; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joanne Recker and husband Charles and Susan Stettler and husband Gregory; and several nieces and nephews.
