Miller seeks to retain seat

Republican Cindy Miller has announced her candidacy for reelection as Lehigh Township supervisor, saying her record speaks for itself and her commitment to the community.

Miller currently serves as the vice chairman of the Lehigh Township Board of Supervisors. She was also the past chairman of the board of supervisors. She was nominated and appointed to both positions by her peers.

Miller also serves on the Lehigh Township Planning Commission as liaison between the supervisors and planners. She represents the supervisors as a voting delegate at the annual Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors held in Hershey.

Miller said she led the development of a 10-year perpetual capital improvement plan; is a leading force in preventing tax increases; implemented a more thoughtful, responsible budget process; led the effort to maintain our quality of life through adoption of ordinances; and secured more than $4.5 million in grants for the township.

“I would be honored to have the opportunity to continue to serve the residents of Lehigh Township,” Miller said. “My goal as a supervisor has been to represent the will of the people. I do my homework and address issues quickly, effectively and legally to prevent them from becoming bigger problems.”

Miller is a commercial Realtor. She serves as vice chairman on the Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the public policy committee of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.

She is a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Walnutport.

Miller has been a resident of Lehigh Township for more than 30 years with her husband, Ray. They have been married 40 years and have two sons, Joshua and Andrew.
