Marian L. Hagopian, 100, formerly of Lower Macungie Township, died April 17, 2023, at Heather Glen Senior Living, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Edward Hagopian. Born in Oakland, Calif., she was the daughter of the late George Nelson and Lela (McCory) Lynch.
She honorably served as Seaman First Class with the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1943-1946 in a military unit known as the WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service).
She was active throughout her 100 years as she lived in California, Michigan, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.
She was an avid reader and gardener. She taught Sunday school, volunteered in hospitals, founded Paradise Genealogy Library and was a member of the Mayflower Society and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Her family benefited from her talent with textiles, including upholstery and hooking rugs. She was much loved by family and friends.
She is survived by a daughter, Ellen Held (Tom), of Allentown; grandchildren, Matthew (Ewa), Edward (Michelle), Brian (Angelina) and Holly; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Gerald M.; siblings, Franklin, Vernon, Margaret Pryor, Lucille Harrell and half-brothers, Orlin Raymond, Edmund Lynch and George “Bud” Lynch.

Services are private. Arrangements were made by the Keller Funeral Homes, Inc., Fogelsville.
