Lehigh Township Police Department responded to a crash involving a Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 transport van on Mountain View Drive (State Route 946) at Bayberry Drive April 18.

According to police Chief Scott M. Fogel, the crash occurred approximately 2:30 p.m. when the transport van, traveling southbound, left the roadway and collided with a utility pole, tree and fence.

The van was occupied by one 4-year-old child, who sustained minor injuries.

The driver, Devin Ramos, 35, of East Stroudsburg, had to be extricated from the vehicle. He was transported by Northampton Regional EMS to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, according to the report.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, Fogel said.

Lehigh Township police was assisted by Lehigh Township Fire and Rescue.
