Northampton Borough Police Department is hosting a fishing derby April 22 in the Hokendauqua Creek behind the department’s headquarters at 1401 Laubach Ave.

The derby will get underway 8 a.m. Weigh-ins will take place 2 p.m.

Prizes will be awarded. No fish under 13 inches will be stocked. No chumming will be allowed.

The derby is sponsored by the Northampton Exchange Club.

A $10 donation entry fee is required as is a valid fishing license for anglers 16 and over.

Reminder: Veterans Outreach Day will be 9 a.m.-2 p.m. April 22 at Queenship of Mary Church, 1324 Newport Ave. The event is sponsored by Northampton Joint Veterans Association and the Valley Health Partners Veteran Health program.

An all-you-can-eat pork and sauerkraut dinner, basket raffle and bake sale event is planned for 4-7 p.m. April 22 at Grace United Church of Christ, 902 Lincoln Ave. The dinner is available for dine-in or takeout.
