David Gogel, a Moore Township for 42 years, is seeking a sixth term as a school board member for Northampton Area School District representing Region 3 - Moore Township and Chapman and Bath boroughs.
He is cross-filed on both the Democratic and Republican ballots.
“I believe in giving back to my community in many ways through several organizations, which are listed below. Being a business owner in Moore Township for 45 years, I have learned to be fair, nice and, above all, to help people in many ways. Giving back to the community is of utmost importance to me,” Gogel said.
The following is a list of giving back, according to Gogel - NASD school board member for 20 years, 12 of them being school board president; Bethlehem Vo-Tech board for 20 years, serving as chairman for six years; Bethlehem Vo-Tech authority for eight years and two years as president; Moore Township Planning Commission for eight years and several years as chairperson; Moore Township Lions Club since it was started in 1983, which is 40 years; a member of the car show committee for 25 years and Free and Accepted Masons No. 413 in Bath for 35 years.
“I like to run the school district as frugal as possible with minimal tax increases and am always looking for ways to save money for the taxpayers. Therefore, I ask for your vote on Election Day,” Gogel said.
