Bath: Church raffle planned

Salem United Church of Christ, 2218 Community Drive, will hold a basket raffle, scheduled for 5-8 p.m. April 21 and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. April 22.

Tickets are available at the door.

This event is open to all local veterans. Legion membership is not required.

Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company, 2718 Mountain View Drive, will be having a designer purse bingo April 23. Doors open 11:30 a.m., and games begin 1 p.m.

There will be a Chinese auction, 50/50 and raffle.

The kitchen will be open. The event is BYOB.

Bath Area Fish Committee’s annual kids’ fishing contest will begin 8 a.m. April 29 and will end 3 p.m. April 30 at the Monocacy Creek.

The group is currently seeking volunteers and donations. If you would like to donate to the contest, send donations to Bath Area Fish Committee, P.O. Box 143, Bath, 18014.

A fish stocking will take place April 28 at the creek. Anyone who would like to help is welcome to attend.

Klecknersville Rangers will hold a Big Bucks Bingo April 30, in addition to the Tuesday night regular bingo.

There will be a progressive jackpot with 15 regular games that will have a special number. Bingo on that number wins that amount as well as a “Rob the Bank Payout.”

Doors open 11:30 p.m., and bingo starts 1 p.m.

Spaghetti with meatballs will be served. There is a cost.

The event is BYOB, but no hard liquor is permitted. Also, no outside food is permitted.

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, announced prayer partners are currently meeting 7 p.m. Tuesday evenings. All are welcome to join.

Emmanuel’s church outreach committee is asking for help for an animal shelter collection to assist pets in need.

The outreach committee and Sunday school students are collecting monetary donations and needed items for Center for Animal Health and Welfare in Easton to help dogs and cats in need of a home or foster.

Items needed are blankets, old towels, Dawn dish soap, 30-gallon trash bags with scent, Persil laundry detergent with intense fresh scent, bleach, Purina Cat Chow Complete, paper towels, distilled water, bottled drinking water, cat scratching posts, cat or dog toys, leashes and collars. Place items in the collection bins.

Donations will be accepted through April.
