Bethlehem Catholic HS presents Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella.” musical, based on the original televised 1957 production starring Julie Andrews, with original music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, and a book by Douglas Carter Beane, based in part from Hammerstein’s book from 1957.
The fairy-tale story is about a young woman who lives in servitude forced by her cruel stepmother. With the help of a fairy Godmother, her dreams are realized when she turns into an elegant woman who attends a ball where she meets her prince.
Bethlehem Catholic’s program is directed by Mrs. Diana Tice, Assistant Directors Rachael Leonard and Garrett Farrell and Musical Director Joseph Fink. Show times are April 21 and 22 at 7 p.m.

Bennett is a senior and has participated in several other Becahi productions and will be furthering her education at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Brown is a freshman and is part of the boys basketball team, member of the film club and president of the history club.
Queen (Layla Luquis) and King (Eoin Egbert). Luquis is a sophomore and a previous recipient of the Sister Anita Joseph Memorial Award. Egbert is a senior, with this being his final show with Becahi. He has also been part of the National Honor Society, Art Club and Boy Scouts.
The cast performs the final scene where Cinderella and the Prince are married at the palace where they live happily ever after.
