Ian T. Mattson, 14, of Schnecksville, died on April 4, 2023, surrounded by his loving family in his home.

Born Feb. 5, 2009, in Ames, Story County, Iowa, he was the son of Dr. Brandon K. and Gloria Janette (Kolts) Mattson.

A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Whitehall Ward, he always loved playing video games and board games with his family and had the special ability to make friends everywhere he went.

In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by brothers, Noah and Kyle; sister Isabelle, all at home; maternal grandparents Lee and Debra Kolts of Allentown; paternal grandparents Diane and David Habeck of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; and large extended family and friends.

A private funeral service will be held at his church. Interment will follow the service at Union Cemetery, Neffs.
