Bethlehem Catholic’s boys tennis team scored two huge home wins, 6-1 over Northampton on March 31 and 7-0 over Pocono Mountain East on March 28.
The Golden Hawks swept in singles matches against the Konkrete Kids when Armaan Makwana defeated Pearce Foulk, 6-0, 6-1, Xavier Shive Sanchez defeated Dane Missmer. 6-2. 6-0, and Benjamin Blum defeated Brett Bastian, 6-3. 6-0.
The Hawks also won at two doubles with John Vallance and Liam Maloney defeating Reece Makary and Nicholas Reichel, 8-5, at three doubles with Tyler Lennert and Jorge Herrara defeating Jad Samaan and Chace Roland, 6-3. 6-3, and at four doubles with Henry Russell and Jaime Pique Dorta defeating Josh Dorsey and Collin Enright, 8-3.
Pearce Foulk and Dane Missmer paired up at one doubles for the K-Kids to top Becahi’s Marcos Gonzalez Perez and Duy Pham, 8-1.
Days earlier, the Hawks shut out the Cardinals when Makwana defeated Daniel Trott, 6-2, 6-2, Shive Sanchez defeated Atom Valderrama, 6-4, 6-4, and Blum defeated Evan Schmidt, 6-1, 6-1.
In doubles play, Vallance and Maloney were victorious over Esteban Reyes and Mykola Burdel, 6-0, 6-0, Lennert and Herrara won against Stephen Salamone and Lincoln Palmeroni, 6-0, 6-4, and Russell and Pham defeated Alex Kaminski and Harry Andress, 6-0, 6-2.
Marcos Gonzalez Perez and Jaime Pique Dorta won at number one doubles by default.
Becahi’s next home match is scheduled for April 14 against Liberty followed by a home match on April 15 against Freedom.
