Northampton: Veterans Outreach Day set for April 22
Veterans Outreach Day will be 9 a.m.-2 p.m. April 22 at Queenship of Mary Church, 1324 Newport Ave. The event is sponsored by Northampton Joint Veterans Association and the Valley Health Partners Veteran Health program.
Many veteran-based organizations will be present to provide information, support and services for all veterans, their families and their caretakers.

Reminder: The Northampton County District Attorney’s Office, with assistance from Northampton Borough’s police and fire departments, will hold a gun buyback event, planned for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 15 at the fire station, 4 Lerchenmiller Drive.
Residents wishing to dispose of their unused, unwanted firearms are asked to transport them to the station unloaded and in the trunk of the vehicle.
Rifles, handguns, shotguns and semi-automatic weapons will be accepted.
Those turning in their weapons will receive grocery gift cards ranging from $50 to $200 as payment.

An all-you-can-eat pork and sauerkraut dinner, basket raffle and bake sale event is planned for 4-7 p.m. April 22 at Grace United Church of Christ, 902 Lincoln Ave. The dinner is available for dine-in or takeout.
The menu includes pork, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, green beans, applesauce, dinner roll, dessert and beverages. Children’s dinners of a hot dog, for ages 10 and under, will be available.
Tickets can be purchased at the door.
