First Regional Compost Authority is planning to hold an Earth Day Mulch Madness event, scheduled for 8 a.m.-4 p.m. April 21 and 8 a.m.-1 p.m. April 22.

Moore Township Community Days committee is planning a purse bingo for April 23 at Klecknersville Rangers Fire Company, 2718 Mountain View Road.

Doors open 11:30 a.m., and bingo playing will begin 1 p.m.

The kitchen will be open. The event is BYOB for beer and wine.

The committee works to assist township children and families. Consider supporting this important work.

The township emergency management coordinator noted emergencies can happen while you are traveling.

Accidents or weather-related incidents can cause significant delays.

When traveling, keep a small kit containing drinks, snacks, a flashlight and a blanket. The best way to deal with an emergency is to be prepared.
