Bruce H. Derr, 68, of Macungie, died April 5, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Sally I. (Roth) Derr for 41 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Carl and Eleanor (Meyer) Derr.

He was a 1972 graduate of Parkland High School and Drexel University.

He was a CPA for his accounting firm, Bruce H. Derr, Allentown.

He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Mickleys.

He was a former member of the finance committee of The Hillside School, a board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley and a member of the Change Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother-in-law, Jack Roth with Lynne of Wescosville; four sisters-in-law, Susan Roth of Northampton, Betsy Frank with Jim of Allentown, Jane Bedell with Michael of Macungie and Patricia Ratchford of Raleigh, N.C.; four nieces and nephews, Brian Roth and partner Catherine, Matt Roth with Maggie, Kristin Yost with Rob and Stacey Kucharik with Eric; and nine great-nieces and great-nephews.

Calling hours will be 7-8:30 p.m. April 13 and 9:30-10:30 a.m. April 14, followed by a funeral service 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home, 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown.
