Bruce H. Derr, 68, of Macungie, died April 5, 2023, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest campus. He was the loving husband of Sally I. (Roth) Derr. They celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary last November. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Carl and Eleanor (Meyer) Derr.

He was a graduate of Parkland High School, Class of 1972 and Drexel University.

He currently was a CPA for his accounting firm Bruce H. Derr, Allentown.

He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ-Mickleys.

He was a former member of the finance committee of The Hillside School, a board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lehigh Valley and a member of the Change Club.

He was an avid Philadelphia Flyers and Eagles fan.

He enjoyed gardening, golfing, the beach and most importantly spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife; brother-in-law, Jack Roth (Lynne), of Wescosville; sisters-in-law, Susan Roth, of Northampton, Betsy Frank (Jim), of Allentown, Jane Bedell (Michael), of Macungie, Patricia Ratchford, of Raleigh, N.C.; nieces and nephews, Brian Roth and partner, Catherine, Matt Roth (Maggie), Kristin Yost (Rob), Stacey Kucharik (Eric); nine great-nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. April 14 in the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown. Calling hours are 7 to 8:30 p.m. April 13 and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. April 14 in the funeral home.
