ST. PETER AND ST. JOHN WINDISH LUTHERAN CHURCHES FINAL SERVICES: Public Festival of Thanksgiving and Leave-taking : open houses: 8:30 a.m.; services:10 a.m. on April 23 at St. John’s Windish, 617 E. Fourth St. and on April 30 at St. Peter’s, 474 Vine St. recognizes the legacy and mission of the congregations as they depart the sanctuaries and church buildings. Both include communion and music by soloists, South Side Brass. The two churches joined with Light of Christ Lutheran Church to form a new congregation, Blessed Trinity Lutheran Church.
