EHS names student of the week
Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?
A. I am currently enrolled in 12th grade at Emmaus High School.
Q. Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.
A. My parents are Michael and Shari and my dog’s name is Minnow.
Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?
A. My favorite subject in school is math because I enjoy being able to work through problems to find answers and solutions.
Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?
A. I am a member of National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. I received the Excellence in Geometry Award in my freshman year. I received Eastern Pennsylvania Conference 3rd team recognition as well as the Most Valuable Player and the Green Hornet Award within the Emmaus varsity boys soccer team in my senior year. I also received the PHEAA Certificate of Merit for my SAT score.
Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? How has being involved in these organizations impacted your high school experience?
A. I have been on the Emmaus boys soccer team all four years of high school, I am the managing sports editor for The Stinger and have been a part of the newspaper for three years, I ran in the winter track club my junior year and I am a leader of the Hornets Nest for my senior year. All these activities have allowed me to meet new people and have experiences I never expected when entering high school. Staying busy and connected within the school has greatly enhanced my enjoyment of the time I have spent at EHS.
Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?
A. My biggest challenge to date has been balancing all areas of my high school life while striving to do my best in each area. Whether I am in the classroom, on the field or enjoying time with family and friends, finding the appropriate amount of time for each has been challenging.
Q. What is your next goal after high school?
A. My biggest goal is to remain disciplined in my school work and continue to maintain my work ethic as new college experiences arise.
Q. Whom do you admire? Why?
A. I admire my parents because of how they support and push me to be successful as well as the examples they have set for me to grow as a person.
Q. For what would you like to be remembered?
A. I would like to be remembered for always putting my all into the things I set out to accomplish.
Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?
A. Do not limit what you think you can accomplish and always strive to improve every day.
