Check for lost items before April 8

Emmaus High School’s lost and found bin, located in the main office, will be emptied April 8. Before this date, students are advised to check for missing items.
For its April issue, The Stinger will host preproduction April 11-14, with production spanning April 17-20. All staff members are required to indicate their availability in the “April Availability” document, found in The Stinger’s shared Google Drive.

Throughout April, Communities in Schools will host a series of skill-building groups, designed to foster healthy habits in EHS students. The upcoming sessions include “Study Skills” and “Art for Relaxation,” both of which will begin April 12. Subsequent meetings will occur every Wednesday during Hornet Homeroom for the next four weeks. To sign up, visit the EHS announcements website and fill out the Google Form. National Honor Society is seeking volunteers for the annual Healthy Kids Running Series, which meets at Allentown’s Grange Park throughout April and May. The meeting dates include 3:15-5:15 p.m. April 16, April 23, April 30, May 7 and May 21.
Approximately 25-30 volunteers are needed per meeting. To help at the event, fill out the Google Form on the NHS Schoology page. With questions, contact spetrunak@eastpennsd.org.
For NHS volunteer hours to count under the 2022-2023 school year, they must be logged before June 9. Any hours logged after June 9 will count for the 2023-2024 school year. Contact ddidona@eastpennsd.org with any concerns.
The EHS Orchestra will host its annual spring concert 7-9 p.m. April 25 in the school auditorium. All district families are invited to attend.
Due to a lack of ticket sales, the annual spaghetti dinner, run by Habitat for Humanity, has been canceled.
Macungie Memorial Park is seeking student volunteers for a variety of spring and summer events, including the flea market, Das Awkscht Fest and a dog show. A full list of dates and times is available on the NHS Schoology Page. To sign up for any event, students must first contact drang@ptd.net with their availability.
