Being a close knit group always helps in sport settings and Bethlehem Catholic is banking on that being a key for their baseball season this spring.
The Hawks finished 12-10 last year and lost in the District 11 4A semifinals to Blue Mountain, but third-year head coach Matt Corsi hopes his blend of youth and experience can push the Hawks back to the postseason this year.
“Our goal is to qualify for the league and district playoffs,” said Corsi.

“We are starting the year a little banged up,” said Corsi, “But the team motto has been we are one. This is a very close team and they are taking a team first approach this season. Our depth will be tested early.”
Becahi has split their first two games of the season, knocking off Archbishop Carroll 7-2, but dropping a 17-9 contest to Freedom last week.
The Hawks have a busy four-game stretch this week with Pocono Mountain East, Easton, Liberty and Nazareth.
