Pauline “Polly” D. Evans, 94, died March 29, 2023, in Cheyenne, Wyo. She was the wife of the late James P. Evans for 50 years.

Born in Seiples Station, she was a daughter of the late Harry F. and Mabel (Hausman) Derhammer.

She was a Whitehall High School graduate.

She was a secretary for several organizations including Bethlehem Steel and the Pennsylvania Bureau of Consumer Protection.

She is survived by a son, James and his wife Lisa; three grandchildren, James V. Evans, Elizabeth A. Lautenschlager (Ford) and Catherine P. Evans; two great-grandsons, William and Benjamin Lautenschlager; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by five brothers, William, Harry, Paul, Richard and Roy Derhammer; and a sister, Doris Fenstermacher.
