Debra J. Schmidt, 66, of Wescosville, died April 2, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of David W. Schmidt Sr., with whom she shared nearly 47 years of marriage. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of Doris (Ernst) Mantz and the late Harold Mantz.

She was a member of Jordan U.C.C., Allentown.

Before retiring, she worked for the City of Allentown in the water and sewer departments and at Mack Trucks.

She loved crafts and ceramics, but mostly had a deep love for her family, especially her grandson. She will always be remembered for taking care of others and putting them first.

She is survived by her husband; mother, of Wescosville; son, David W. Jr., of Wescosville; daughter, Stephanie A. and her husband, Adrian Ortiz, of Pittsburgh; beloved grandson and numerous cousins.
