Bath: Church schedules Holy Week services
The Holy Week schedule at Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, is as follows: April 6, Maundy Thursday, 7 p.m. worship in the sanctuary with the stripping of the altar; April 7, Good Friday, 7 p.m. service of light and darkness, 8 p.m. prayer vigil begins; April 8, the prayer vigil continues; April 9, Easter Sunday, 6 a.m. the prayer vigil ends, 6:30 a.m. Easter dawn service, 7:15-9:30 a.m. Easter breakfast, 8:45 a.m. traditional service in the sanctuary, 9:45 a.m. egg hunt for children and 10 a.m. celebration service in fellowship hall.
There is no Sunday school.

Petersville Rod and Gun Club, 550 Club Road, will be holding a clam night and ham raffle 5-8 p.m. April 7.
There will be music by Rodney Geisinger 7-10 p.m. in the bar area.

The Bath Area Food Bank will distribute food April 11, starting around 9:30 a.m., on the lower level of St. John’s Lutheran Church, 206 E. Main St.
Due to the safety of the children and parents going into the school at the church, do not arrive before 9:30 a.m.

Petersville Rod and Gun Club will be holding a youth fishing contest, set for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 15.
Bar karaoke returns 8-11 p.m. with New Dimension Sound providing the entertainment.
There is an adult fishing contest scheduled for 8 a.m.-noon April 16.

The Bath Museum, 121 S. Walnut St., Bath, is open 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 15.

Emmanuel’s Church will hold an installation service for Pastor Rachel Ziese Hacker 3 p.m. April 16 in fellowship hall.
The Rev. Samantha Drennan will be presiding. Light refreshments to follow the service.
Note, there will be one worship service that Sunday, 9:30 a.m., in the sanctuary.

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church announces its concert by SWIM, the second event in the 300th anniversary concert series, has been rescheduled for 2 p.m. April 23 in fellowship hall.

The Bath Area Fish Committee’s annual kids fishing contest will begin 8 a.m. April 29 and will end 3 p.m. April 30 at the Monocacy Creek in Bath.

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church is still having Monday evening yoga classes 5:30 p.m. in fellowship hall.
Pay as you go per class. Bring a yoga mat or towel and wear comfortable clothes.
All are welcome.

During the month of April, Emmanuel’s Church will help the Bath Area Food Bank by collecting canned soups and paper products.
There is an ongoing need for ramen noodles, and a special request for canned fruit and boxed macaroni and cheese has been made.
Donations for the food bank can be dropped off in the bins in the fellowship hall or the upstairs gathering area.
