Barry J. Forner, 62, of Slatington and formerly of Catasauqua and Fleetwood, died March 27, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospice. He was the husband of Mary R. Salines for 37 years.

He was a son of the late Harold J. and Arlene M. (Ferenchak) Forner.

He was a Catasauqua High School and Lincoln Technical Institute graduate.

He worked in the electrical and mechanical industry, with most of his career at NCR.

He was a stained glass artist and creative woodworker and used designs conceived by his wife, Mary.

They adopted many rescue dogs over the years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Brenda Kuchera and husband Paul; a brother, Brian Forner and wife Maggie; a mother-in-law, Joyce Salines; a brother-in-law, Leonard Salines and wife Mary; a sister-in-law, Donna Miller; six nephews; and one niece.

No services will be held.

Contributions may be made to an animal rescue of one’s choice.
