Allen Township Board of Supervisors met March 28 to hold a public hearing on draft ordinance 2023-01.

Ordinance 2023-01 would prohibit “stopping, standing, idling and parking” on both sides of Willowbrook Road.

The ordinance would be in effect from the Hanover Township line to Savage Road, Solicitor Lincoln Treadwell said.

The supervisors unanimously approved the ordinance.

In other business, township Manager Ilene Eckhart provided updates on the Indian Trail Road and Howertown Road bridge replacements.

Construction on the Howertown Road bridge is expected to start May 1 and end approximately Oct. 18.

Northbound traffic will be able to continue as normal, but the southbound lane will be closed and detoured to Old Carriage and Seemsville roads during that time.

Signal retiming is not anticipated at this time.

The Indian Trail Road bridge replacement will not begin until June 1.

The supervisors will next meet 6 p.m. April 11 in the fire department building, 3530 Howertown Road.
