LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Rose Garden clean-up

Clean-up at Bethlehem's Rose Garden has begun. Two hardy volunteers braved raw rainy weather March 25 to begin getting the flower beds looking their best. Pam Ruch of Emmaus and Elena Helmuth of Bethlehem began by trimming rose plants. Ruch urged others to join them each Saturday morning as the clean-up continues. “No experience is necessary,” said Ruch, who said it would also be great if people would adopt a bed. She is also hopeful that the City of Bethlehem can pitch in with mulching and edging each bed. Above: Horticulturist Pam Ruch trims a climbing rose.” We want it to go up, said Ruch.
