Ethel B. Benner, 97, of Bethlehem, died March 28, 2023, in Riverton Nursing and Rehab facility, Allentown. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Milton and Ethel (Reed) Bissey. She was the wife of the late Lester T. Benner.
She was a secretary for many years for the former Dodig Insurance Company before retiring. She was a parachute maker for the former U.S. Gage Co. during World War II.
She was a member of Trinity U.C.C. Church, Bethlehem.
She is survived by four children, Christine Richards (David), Gail Jones (Theodore), Nancy Kichline (Gerry) and George Shively; four stepchildren, Wheeler, Rebecca Hitcho (the late Michael), Victoria Prosperi (William) and Jessica Agentis (James); grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by six brothers and sisters; and a stepdaughter, Patricia.
Contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Trinity U.C.C. Church, Bethlehem.
