SENIORS Programs offered in April
Lehigh Valley Active Life, 1633 W Elm St., Allentown, will be offering the following dances from 7-10 p.m. during the month of April in the Trexler Room.
The per person fee to attend includes light refreshments.
April 1: “Country Dance”
April 8: “KATO”
April 15: “The Chas Band”
April 19: “Glenn Kakowski
They will be offering this dance from 1-3 p.m. in the Trexler Room.
April 29: “Johnny K”
The following creative arts classes will also be offered.
April 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, and 26: Arts and Crafts led by Trisha Baker, 9-11 a.m.
April 5, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26 and 28: Suzanne Bauder’s Art for Everyone, noon.
Both new and advance students are welcome. Whatever medium you choose, help is available.
April 6, 13, 20, and 27: Knit and Chat group, 9 a.m.
April 6, 13, 20, and 27: Zentangle for Fun led by instructor Jean Burd, 10 a.m.
Zentangle is the art of drawing in a doodle format to make designs.
All participants need to bring are colored pencils and makers.
April 3, 10, 17 and 24: Drawing led by instructor Judy Peters, 9:30 a.m.
This class is an introduction to composition, outlining and shading with pencils.
April 14, 21 and 28: Card-Making led by instructor Sue Steltz, at 9 a.m.
Learn a multitude of techniques to make beautiful, handmade cards for any occasion.
Most materials and tools will be provided.
No experience or talent required.
April 5: Paint and Wine “Bunny” led by Angela Faidley, 6-8 p.m.
Everyone will create their own masterpiece.
Price includes materials and wine.
April 4, 11, 18 and 25: Ceramics led by instructor Bonny Batman, at 9 a.m. Price includes paints.
The following groups will be offered.
April 6, 13, 20 and 27: Photography Composition Basics led by instructor Ray Royer, 12:30 p.m.
Learn how to improve your photography using your cellphone or any camera.
April 13 and 27: Socrates Café moderated by Saul Coplan, 10:30 a.m.
Begins with a question chosen by the group and ends with even more questions.
This group is for the curious who understands that “none of us is as smart as all of us.”
April 6, 13, 20 and 27: Poetry Appreciation moderated by Maria Azar, 2 p.m.
This group is for those who appreciate poetry.
The following history program will also be offered.
April 14: WWII History “27th Infantry Division and 10th Mountain” led by instructor Dr. Charles Bonos, 2 p.m.
