Liberty’s boys tennis team won its match against Allentown Central Catholic, 6-1, on March 22 at Liberty, improving the Hurricanes’ record to 4-0.
Liberty won all singles matches when Roman Farhad defeated Timmy Spinosa, 6-2, 6-3, Luke Appleman defeated Mack Zeller, 6-1, 6-1, and David Broczkowski came back after a first dropped set to win against Tanner Temple, 6-7 (3), 6-4, 6-4.
Liberty won its first three doubles matches when Connor Ohl and Finn Brown defeated Zach Torchia and Thomas Dzik, 8-3, Chris Giannaris and Sid Tekumalla defeated Danny Patruno and Victor Manzella, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1, and Elijah Quan and Jacksen Jobes defeated Ian Abedessa and Matt Keenan, 6-7 (4), 6-4, 6-2.
Central’s Alex DeGale and Aryaan Chahaun were winners over Matt Alter and Leo Babbin, 7-6 (2), 7-5.
The Freedom Patriots also remained undefeated after last week’s matches.
Most recently, Freedom swept Whitehall and won every game but one.
Noah Potts, Gavin Labaddia, and Noah Rodburg were 6-0, 6-0 winners in singles play, as well as Arun Chhugani and Luke Braido in doubles play.
Tyler Malitzki and Matt Davis also won at doubles, 6-1, 6-0, and John Coulter and Willie Yang won by default.
This week, Freedom will travel to Parkland on March 29 and host Pocono Mountain East on March 31.
Liberty will host Emmaus on March 30 and travel to Pleasant Valley on March 31.
