Elaine R. Henry, 84, of Kempton, died March 22, 2023, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She and her husband, Willis R. Henry, celebrated 62 years of marriage in December 2022.

Born in Lenhartsville, she was a daughter of the late Harold A. and Arline E. (Berk) Herring.

A 1956 graduate of Kutztown Area High School and a 1958 graduate of McCann’s School of Business, Reading, she was employed at Western Electric, Allentown, for several years and then later worked in the offices of the former Benham Knitwear, Wright’s Knitwear and Medalist Apparel until retiring in 1992.

She was a member and former choir member of New Bethel Church, Kempton.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by daughters Sharon L. Griffiths of Reading, and Diane L. (Scott) Vanisko of Manorville, N.Y.; grandsons Peter, Zachary and Kieran Griffiths; sister Marie and her husband the Rev. Joseph Ely of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother Harold J. (Lee) Herring of Las Cruces N.M. and Breckenridge, Colo.

She was predeceased by her twin brother Charles R. Herring, and her sister Eleanore M. Herring.

Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. April 1 in Nester Funeral Home Inc., 8405 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, with a calling hour beginning 10 a.m. Interment in New Bethel Union Cemetery, Kempton. The Rev. Joseph Ely will officiate.
