Catasauqua: Thrift shop bag sale begins March 30
Catasauqua Community Thrift Shop, 113 Bridge St., is having a bag sale on everything in the shop March 30-April 6.
It will be closed for Easter and then for changeover and cleaning. The shop will reopen April 13 with new clothing for spring and summer.

Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua, 210 Pine St., is holding a spring flea market and bake sale 9 a.m.-1 p.m. April 1.
The event will be held indoors, so it will be held rain or shine. You may come in from the Pine Street chapel door. Look for the balloons.
There will be lots of items, including, but not limited to, books, household items, toys, craft items, etc.
The bake sale promises so many goodies, you won’t want to miss it. In addition, the kitchen will once again provide breakfast and lunch items.

Catasauqua American Legion Post 215, 330 Second St., will be having a meat raffle 2-6 p.m. April 2.
You can purchase tickets at the Legion. Tickets will also be available at the door.
A free hot dog and pasta salad will be available to all ticket holders.

Spring is here and so is the first seasonal meeting of Catasauqua Garden Club, planned for 1 p.m. April 5 at Slovak Center Social Club, 1233 Fifth St., North Catasauqua.
PA Master Gardener Lynn Dautrich will discuss the hows and whys of raised bed gardening.
Garden Club members will display artistic and horticulture exhibits for judging.
Interesting and enlightening garden conversation are always a part of the meeting. Curious gardeners, experienced or not, are always welcome.

Friends of Catasauqua Parks will hold bingo 2-5 p.m. April 16 at Catasauqua American Legion Post 215, 330 Second St. Doors will open 1 p.m.
Food will be available to purchase.
Tickets are discounted if purchased in advanced.
