Several Weisenberg Lutheran Church senior and junior high youth participated in a rock-a-thon from 8 p.m. on March 17 to 8 a.m. March 18 to raise money for World Hunger.
The group spent most of the night in rocking chairs playing games.
They also talked about world hunger, enjoyed delicious snacks and took a short break every hour.
The group, at last count, raised $800.
Half the donations will go to ELCA World Hunger. The other half will be used to shop for food and supplies for the Lowhill Food Pantry.
