With the threat of snow pretty much behind us, it’s time to look forward to the growing season and getting outside into the sunlight.

There are plenty of activities and opportunities to help out in the community.

Lynnport Community Fire Company is having its Easter filling and bacon sale.

And on April 2, the fire company will host its annual Easter luncheon and egg hunt at noon.

Jacob’s Church, 8373 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, is having its Easter Egg Hunt 1-3 p.m. April 1.

New Life Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6804 Weiss Road, New Tripoli, will offer two Holy Week services April 6, Maundy Thursday; and April 7, Good Friday, both at 7 p.m. There will be an Easter worship service 10:15 a.m. Easter Sunday.

The church will also have an Easter Egg Hunt open to all ages at 3 p.m. April 8. There will be prizes, candy and goodies.
