Richard E. Demko, 92, of Lehigh Township, died March 11, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Ruff) Demko for 55 years.

Born in Northampton, he was the son of the late Michael and Pauline (Burianic) Demko.

He was a 1948 graduate of Northampton High School.

He was a corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was a designer for 44 years at Air Products, Trexlertown, and retired in 1996.

He was member of Hope Lutheran Church, Cherryville.

He was a member, past president and past treasurer of the Lehigh Township Lions Club for many years. He was the recipient of the Melvin Jones Award. He was a master mason with F&AM Chapman Lodge No. 637, Northampton.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Richard M. and wife Susan of Panama City, Fla., and Greg S. and wife Tammy of Whitehall; a daughter, Laurie Demko and husband Morris Albers of Boise, Idaho; a sister, Lucille Schlegel of Northampton; five grandchildren, Jaime Kuhn with Larry, Jessica Borger with Braden, Matthew Demko, Janelle Demko and fiance Brandon Roberts and Jordan Demko; five great-grandchildren, Braden and Carter Mickley, Jadyn Demko and Maggie and Julieann Borger.

He was predeceased by a son, Christopher.
