Kenneth N. James, 89, of Whitehall, died March 15, 2023, at Lehigh ValleyHospital-Muhlenberg. He was the husband of Dorothy A. (Henits) James for 68 years.

Born in Catasauqua, he was a son of the late John D. and Magdalen L. (Gemmel) James.

He graduated from Catasauqua High School where he played basketball.

He was a foreman of the carpenters gang at the Bethlehem Steel until he retired. He then ran a lawn care and maintenance business for many years.

He was a member of Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jeff J. and wife Loretta; three grandsons, Jason and wife Jen, Ian and Evan and wife Crystal; a great-grandson, Owen Philip James; a sister, Marie McKittrick; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Diane Marie.

There will be a calling period 10:30-11 a.m., followed by memorial services 11 a.m., March 23 at the church, 210 Pine St., Catasauqua.
