New York Times-bestselling author Maria V. Snyder is keynote speaker for the Greater Lehigh Valley Writers Group 2023 “Write Stuff Conference,” one of the premier events for writers in the greater Lehigh Valley, March 23-25, Best Western Lehigh Valley Hotel, 300 Gateway Drive, Bethlehem.
“The Write Stuff,” a live, in-person event with recorded options available for those unable to attend, is sponsored in part by the MFA Program in Creative Writing and Publishing at DeSales University.
The three-day event includes four half-day programs, Friday night reception, 14 breakout sessions, book fair, critique opportunities, flash fiction contest and networking.
“Write Stuff” presenters include Kathryn Craft, Jon Gibbs, Michelle Lazurek, Dianna Sinovic, Michael Ventrella.
Snyder switched careers from meteorology to novelist with the launch of her “Study” series (“Poison Study,” “Magic Study,” “Fire Study,” “Shadow Study,” “Night Study” and “Dawn Study”) about a young woman who becomes a poison-taster.
Snyder has written other fantasy series and “Storm Watcher,” a stand-alone novel.
In addition to her keynote presentation, Snyder will offer two half-day workshops, “Creating Believable Villains,” March 23, “Can You Hear Me Now? Audiobooks 101,” March 24.
Snyder received a degree in meteorology from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Arts in fiction writing from Seton Hill University.
