“The Printmakers Society of the Lehigh Valley: Members Exhibition” presents the work of member artists through March 30, Rotunda Gallery, Town Hall, Bethlehem.

Artists with prints in the exhibition include Richard Begbie, Dee Collins, Elaine Cunfer, Erin Pryor Gill, Deborah Hamburger, Bob Hovencamp, Katie Hovencamp, Stacie Newman Kandel, Claire Marcus, Maryann Riker, Jodie Scharadin, Melissa Strawser, Kathryn Yarkosky and Pat Delluva.

“Along with traditional methods of printing such as woodcut and linocut, etching and lithography, contemporary printmakers are exploring new techniques and methods, including the most well-known, such as screen printing and digital printmaking,” says Delluva. “The exhibit offers a fresh look at the variety in printmaking today.”

Among printmaking processes on display are: cut photo collage, reduction linoleum, etching, intaglio, chine collé, lithography, mezzotint, wood engraving, relief print, monotype, relief print with paste paper collage, silkscreen, drypoint, linocut, collagraph and solarplate etching.

The Printmakers Society of the Lehigh Valley was founded in 2012 by the late Professor Richard Redd, former head of the Art Department of Lehigh University, along with several regional printmakers. The society’s inaugural Bethlehem City Rotunda Gallery exhibition was held in September 2013. Two of Redd’s prints are included in the exhibit, which is sponsored by the Bethlehem Fine Arts Commission.
