Janice L. Bentz, 89, formerly of Slatington and Pike County, died March 9, 2023, in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall, where she had been residing.

She was the wife of the late Dale A. Bentz.

Born July 22, 1933, in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Sarah (Ervin) Herman.

Her survivors include a daughter Kris Smith and her husband, Brian, of Allentown; granddaughter Karisa Wagner and her husband, Kyle, of Walnutport; brother Richard Herman of Allentown; and sister Marilyn Shollenberger of Slatington.

She was predeceased by siblings Raymond, William, Walter, Charles and Robert Herman, Pauline Brown and Viola Laubach; brother-in-law Jack Shollenberger; and sister-in-law Dolores Herman.

Her memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. March 18 at First Baptist Church, 1808 N. 19th St., Allentown.

Family and friends may pay their respects 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday in the church.

Interment will follow the service at Grandview Cemetery, South Whitehall.
