Janice L. Bentz, 89, formerly of Slatington and Pike County, died March 9, 2023, at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall, where she had been residing. She was the wife of the late Dale A. Bentz.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Sarah (Ervin) Herman.

She is survived by a daughter, Kris Smith and her husband Brian of Allentown; a granddaughter, Karisa Wagner and her husband Kyle of Walnutport; a brother, Richard Herman of Allentown; and a sister, Marilyn Shollenberger of Slatington.

She was predeceased by seven siblings, Raymond, William, Walter, Charles and Robert Herman, Pauline Brown and Viola Laubach; a brother-in-law, Jack Shollenberger; and a sister-in-law, Dolores Herman.
