Frank “Fero” A. Micek, 92, of Allentown, died March 4, 2023. He was the husband of the late Francine Micek for 68 years.
He was a son of the late Andrew and Elizabeth Micek and grew up in Allentown.
He attended St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church grade school and Allentown Central Catholic High School where he played baseball and football. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Muhlenberg College.
He was in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a military policeman, sergeant and baseball player.
He was a major appliance salesman and was named top salesman for several years, for Sears, Roebuck and Company. He retired in 1992.
He attended St. John the Baptist Slovak Catholic Church.
He was a Jednota First Catholic Slovak Union life member and was proud of his Slovak heritage.
He is survived by eight children, Frances Gilbert with Paul, Constance Medve with Pete, Michael with Michele, Marie, Lisa, Judith Voytell with Kenneth, Catherine Parks with Steven and Geraldine Hapler with John; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by five brothers, Andrew Jr., Joseph, Charles, William and Edward.
