Pennsylvania State Police Troop M, Fogelsville, is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying an individual who allegedly used counterfeit money for multiple purchases.
According to a state police Feb. 21 news release, troopers were dispatched 2:57 p.m. on Feb. 17 to a business located on Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, for an individual who allegedly used a counterfeit $100 in U.S. currency.
Upon investigation, it was determined the same individual allegedly used additional counterfeit $100 bills at three additional businesses and received money back during the transactions.
The transactions at the three businesses occurred between 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. The individual was seen leaving the scene in a dark color SUV with heavily tinted side windows.
Anyone with information regarding the identification of the individual or information regarding this case is asked to contact state police at 610-395-1438 and refer to incident number PA23-209367.
