Local wildlife artist to give presentation on Antarctica
BY SUSAN BRYANT
Dan Christ of Dan Christ Gallery, Kempton, will give a free presentation on his January 2020 trip to Antarctica at 7 p.m. on March 19 at Grace Community Church, 7343 Gun Club Road, New Tripoli.
The presentation will be on the lost continent, the last frontier, and the paintings he did as a result and interesting findings about that part of the world.
Experience cruising through icebergs to the edge of the continent of rock and ice, going to the end of the earth and returning to tell about it.
Christ, a wildlife artist and naturalist, will share his experience there through the art it inspired along with his research of what is known about this forgotten part of the earth, the unique habitat and life-forms God created to survive there.
This Antarctica program will primarily be educational, as well as inspirational.
Following his forestry education, Christ has continued studying his interests in biology and geology.
Since his Antarctic cruise, he has researched the particulars of this lost continent to further his understanding of his inspirational experience there.
Amazed at his discoveries of known scientific facts, Christ is compelled to share and educate everyone of the realistic facts of Antarctica. This knowledge is relevant in understanding the cultural issues of today.
Become informed to better understand the mystery and myths associated with Antarctica.
