“Mamma Mia!” brings romance to the stage with classic Abba hits, 7 p.m. March 16, 17, 18, 24; 2 p.m. March 19, 25, Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts, 321 E. Third St., Bethlehem.
Director-Choreographer Ashley Tait Weller is assisted by Music Director Cristina Makowicz and Technical Director Ellen Schmoyer.
Set on a Greek island, a young bride-to-be invites three men from her mother’s past to her wedding without consulting mom. She is determined to find out which one is her father and have him walk her down the aisle.
With music and lyrics by Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson and book by Catherine Johnson, the musical comedy debuted on Broadway in 2001, receiving five Tony Award nominations.
Songs include “Dancing Queen,” “Gimme, Gimme, Gimme,” “S.O.S.,” “Take a Chance on Me” and “Mamma Mia!”
The production is not in the Freddy Awards.
