TRANS-BRIDGE MOVE: Trans-Bridge Lines has announced that beginning March 6, it will move its Allentown stop from the now closed Allentown Bus Terminal to the Allentown Transportation Center (ATC), located at 603 Linden St. Drop-off and pick-ups will operate from Platform C at the location.

Trans-Bridge Lines has worked with the City of Allentown and LANTA to utilize the transportation center.

In addition to the new location, passengers may purchase tickets at the Transportation Center via the LANTA ticket window located across from Platform B near Dunkin’. The ticket window is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is staffed by LANTA employees who will sell Trans-Bridge Lines tickets on the company’s behalf.

Passengers are encouraged to use Linden Street for quick pickups and drop-offs. The parking garage may also be used for up to 15 minutes free of charge for that purpose. Passengers should be aware that they are not permitted to pick up or drop off directly at Platform C. The platform area is intended for motorcoach use only.

To view schedules, please visit the company’s website at www.transbridgelines.com.

‘THE RISING’ AT THE ICEHOUSE: A rebel’s granddaughter joins the cast of “The Rising” to tell her grandfather’s role in the Easter Rebellion

At one of last year’s popular performances of the regionally produced play, “The Rising,” playwright and director Ara Barlieb was in for a surprise: Fiona Sweeney, granddaughter of Peter Paul Galligan, one of the key Irish rebels, was in the audience and told Barlieb she loved the show.

This year, it was Sweeney who got the surprise: Barlieb wrote her into the play as one of the women who attached themselves to the cause.

For the second year, Crowded Kitchen Players will recount the story of the spirited men and women who stood up to fight. This reprise of their 2022 production of “The Rising: The Irish Rebellion in Song and Verse” runs March 16-19, in The Charles A. Brown IceHouse in Bethlehem.

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. March 16-18 and 2 p.m. March 19. For information and tickets, call 610-704-6974 or visit www.ckplayers.com.
