The Pennsylvania State Police Troop M Fogelsville station needs help identifying a person who allegedly used counterfeit money for multiple purchases at retailers in Lower Macungie Township.
Authorities provided the following details in a news release dated Feb. 21:
At approximately 2:57 p.m. Feb. 17, state troopers responded to a business on Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, for a person who allegedly used a counterfeit $100 bill in a transaction at the business. An investigation determined the same person allegedly used counterfeit currency at three additional businesses and received money back during those transactions.
The transactions at the three businesses occurred between 2:30 and 3 p.m., according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
The suspect was seen leaving the area in a sport utility vehicle painted a dark color and with heavily tinted side windows.
