The 3rd/4th grade Bethlehem Little ’Canes travel basketball team won the Lehigh Valley League Championship in the Biddy Division this past Sunday at Dieruff High School in Allentown. They beat a strong Southern Lehigh team in a tight matchup, 31-30, in the championship game. The Little ’Canes finished the regular season with a 10-4 record before entering the playoffs and beating Hockey last Thursday and South Parkland on Saturday. The Little ’Canes were led by three returning players in Scotland Brown, Dallas Cruz and Carter Kempinski. The roster was completed with: Zion Woodward, Jackson Neeb, Chase Rieger, Charlie Hartney, Braxton Cosover, Zane Balaziuk and Ted Thomson. The Little ’Canes were coached by former Saucon Valley boys head coach, Matt Brown (18 seasons), along with his assistants Drew Woodward and Sean Thomson.
