An Emmaus man faces alleged drug and weapons charges after Pennsylvania State Police served warrants on a storage facility in Berks County and a residence in Lehigh County, according to authorities.
According to a news release, Pennsylvania State Police Troop L Vice/Narcotics investigators and detectives from the Berks County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force served warrants at Edge Self Storage, 725 Hex Highway, Tilden Township and a residence in the 300 block of South 12th Street, Emmaus, Feb. 16.
Authorities identified the residence as that of Andrew Kacsur, 36.
According to court documents, bail for Kacsur was set at $1 million.
Items seized by law enforcement included approximately 300 pounds of processed marijuana, two rifles and one pistol as well as 866 THC vaporizer cartridges, approximately 1,783 grams of psilocybin, aka “magic,” mushrooms, 220 units of THC edibles, approximately 6,962 grams of THC wax, approximately 450 bottles of THC liquid, approximately 372 psilocybin edibles, three bottles of LSD and an undisclosed amount of cash.
THC is tetrahydrocannabinol, the main psychoactive compound in marijuana, according to the website of the National Institute on Drug Abuse within the National Institutes of Health.
LSD, or lysergic acid diethylamide, is described as a potent psychedelic drug by the Alcohol and Drug Foundation.
“Due to the amount of evidence seized, two U-Haul trucks were utilized to transfer the seized evidence,” according to the state police news release.
Charges against Kacsur include three felony counts of possession with intent to deliver; possession of firearm prohibited, a felony in the second degree and charges of use/possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substances, according to court documents available online.
According to authorities, Kacsur was arraigned Feb. 21.
